VFX Lighting Technical Director specializing in the intersection of traditional cinematography, real-time rendering, and generative AI. With 16 years across feature films, commercials, and experimental workflows, I approach lighting as both a physical phenomenon and a computational problem—understanding light through the lens of natural behavior and algorithmic generation.

My work spans Disney feature films at MPC Montreal, tier-1 brand commercials for Apple and Nike, and experimental AI research recycling 750+ professional photography assignments as training data for generative lighting models. This cross-domain methodology bridges procedural scene assembly (Houdini Solaris/USD), offline rendering (Katana/Renderman), real-time workflows (Unreal Engine 5), and contemporary AI pipelines.
